Bulls for Sale

Take a look below to find details on the selection of Hereford Bulls currently “For Sale”. These are available through Private Treaty Sale from our Postville, Iowa location. More animals become available with each season, as we have both Spring & Fall Calving crops. Whether you are looking for Registered Herefords to build your herd, or if you want good Hereford blood for crossing in a black or other commercial herd, we have options for each! Let us know what you have and what you are “looking for” and we will see what we may have to help you best. If your priority is to find low birth weights and calving ease, we have bulls with low actual birth weights and EPD’s. If your focus is finding high growth, frame and the ability to put on pounds of meat, we also have cattle that will meet that need. While our cow herd has a history of horned bloodlines, we have been focusing on polled bloodlines the past several years and now use polled sires only. We use a combination of A.I. and herd sires that we have purchased or raised to offer a variety of strong bloodline options for new - and our many repeat customers.

Demand for good Hereford genetics continues to be strong and many people like to shop early for best selection. We offer an "early reservation” option. For a down payment, you can lock in your choice(s) early, and we will feed until needed and ready to take possession. Give us a call, or come by to look at them if you are within driving distance. Call Marilyn at 319-269-3146 with any questions, for specific pricing, or to discuss what you are looking for.

  • Polled
  • BW: 76
Sire: KF CHASON MASON 226D
Dam: BH KELLY 851 ET
The only Spring Yearling still available is Vance H13. Being just a May bull, we expected him to carry over, and he will be in good shape and size to be used in Fall 2021 or for 2022 breeding. He is a grandson of the 2015 Denver Supreme Champion Chac Mason 2214, and is a total outcross from our bloodlines – an option for our repeat customers to consider. Already semen tested, he can be used now or reserved for future.

2020 Fall Bulls

AVAILABLE
LH 764E PRINCETON 064H
  • Reg#: 44185767
  • DOB: 9/1/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 79
Sire: R EXCITEMENT 4356
Dam: LH MS PRINCESS 764E
This dark red Excitement son would be an excellent bull for heifers or cows. High calving ease, low birthweight, still with above average growth EPD’s. His young dam is a very moderate sized cow, smaller framed than many of our big cows, which sets him up to be well suited for many environments. Well pigmented with one red eye, take a good look at this strong young bull.

AVAILABLE
LH 868F MONROE 068H
  • Reg#: 44185782
  • DOB: 10/2/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 91
Sire: LH 508C TUFFER STUFF 808F
Dam: LH MS MAXIE 868F
Sired by our Built Tuff son, this bull will bring thickness, muscle and mass to some lucky cow herd. Even though his EPD’s point to low-to-moderate BW, his 91 lb. actual BW leads us to recommend him for use on cows and not heifers, out of caution. Pigment on both eyes, red-to-the toe and red-necked, he is a very quiet bull and will be ready for use in Fall 2021 or any time in 2022.

AVAILABLE
LH 365A APOLLO 073H
  • Reg#: 44185765
  • DOB: 9/22/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 65
Sire: LH 35A GOLDRUSH 608D
Dam: LH MS VENUS 365A {DOD}
Here is a typical Goldrush sired calf – thick, moderate framed, big bodied and loads of muscle. Apollo’s mother is a Dam of Distinction, so you could retain heifers with confidence. EPD’s indicate he is a high CEZ, low BW bull, although his 65 lb. actual BW was likely influenced by the fact that he was a twin. We would recommend using on cows or possibly low BW heifers. One red eye, quiet disposition, he will make a great option for the right herd.

AVAILABLE
LH 875H UP-TOWN KID 075H
  • Reg#: 44185789
  • DOB: 9/2/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 80
Sire: KT SMALL TOWN KID 5051
Dam: LH MS MEADOW 875F
If you like the “traditionally marked” Herefords, this bull is certainly one to take a close look at. A.I. sired by Small Town Kid, he has extremely strong EPD’s across the board. His CEZ, BW, MG, Udder scores, BMI$ and CHB$ and Carcass EPD’s are all in the top 10% of the breed, while WW, YW, MM and REA are all in the top 25% of breed. Deep ribbed, big hipped, he could be used with confidence on heifers OR cows, or a combination.

AVAILABLE
LH 879F KOOL-KID 079H
  • Reg#: 44185791
  • DOB: 9/5/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 79
Sire: KT SMALL TOWN KID 5051
Dam: LH MS HANNAH 879F
This Small Town Kid son is flat out impressive not only in phenotype, pigmentation and his “kool” markings, but in his EPD panel. DNA tested, his genomically-enhanced EPD’s are in the top 1%-10% of the breed in most categories, with others in top 25%. He is deep, dark red with two huge goggles, very little white, long bodied and getting thicker every day. Although he is an MD carrier, he is free of all other defects. Excellent choice for heifers, he will have the size to service cows easily in Fall 2021 or summer 2022 as well.

AVAILABLE
LH 417B WHITE LIGHTNING 081H
  • Reg#: 44185792
  • DOB: 10/20/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 78
Sire: LH 508C TUFFER STUFF 808F
Dam: LH MS SELENA 417B
The youngest of the Fall bulls is this super “heifer approved” bull, White Lightning. Named for his abundance of white on his front legs, neck and belly, this guy boasts CEZ and BW EPD’s that are both in the top 1% of the breed. His Grand-dam is our Dam of Distinction and Donor cow Sierra 127Y, so he has one of the strongest female bloodlines in our herd behind him. His sire’s side of pedigree is deep with moderate frame and high udder scores.

AVAILABLE
LH 883F JESSE 083H
  • Reg#: 44185795
  • DOB: 9/23/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 94
Sire: TH 18U 719T VICTOR 31X
Dam: LH MS JENNI 883F
One of the thickest bulls in the Fall group is this Victor 31X A.I. sired bull, out of a dandy 1st calf Dam. Although the 31X bull consistently sired low BW calves, this guy was the exception and had a 94 lb. actual BW. As a result, we would recommend him to be used on cows. Deep red, pigment on both eyes, he’s thick, wide and deep bodied. He’s sure to sire calves with good gains and full of red meat.

AVAILABLE
ROSE MR MILO H15
  • Reg#: 44183636
  • DOB: 9/29/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 78
Sire: LH 686F PRIDE 886F
Dam: LH MS MERIDITH 680D
Here is a dark cherry red bull that is red-to-the-toe, red necked, and has one red eye. With just a 78 lb. actual BW and excellent CEZ and BW EPD’s, he’s well suited for heifers, but would also be ready to service a good group of cows by summer 2022. Both his sire and dam are easy-doing, moderate framed animals, and we expect him to be the same type. He’s a flexible option that could be suited for many herd situations.

AVAILABLE
ROSE MR VINNY H16
  • Reg#: 44183638
  • DOB: 9/24/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 94
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589 ET
Dam: LH MS VISION 284Z {DOD}
Vinny is one of the bigger framed Fall bulls, out of a large framed cow who is a Dam of Distinction. He is long bodied, big boned, and deep in the belly and the hip. A.I. sired by the popular /S Mandate bull, we expected him to be low BW, but he was a full 10 days overdue based on A.I. date, so his 94 lb. actual BW points to him as an option for cows rather than heifers. If you’re looking to produce bigger framed, high growth feeders, or nice replacement heifers, Vinny could be an excellent choice to consider.

AVAILABLE
ROSE MR MILTON H17
  • Reg#: 44183643
  • DOB: 10/9/2020
  • Polled
  • BW: 90
Sire: LH 686F PRIDE 886F
Dam: PEZ 2296 SANDRA 214
Another high growth, super long bodied, bigger framed bull is this October born bull. He has as big a hip and hind quarter as any in the group and has been one of the highest gaining bulls since weaned. Another cow bull option, he should sire calves with excellent growth, frame and scale. Whether selling calves as feeders, or fattening them out yourself, this bull should help put more money in your pockets.

2021 Spring Bulls

AVAILABLE
LH F870 MOJAVE 102J
  • Reg#: 44227268
  • DOB: 1/20/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 79
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589 ET
Dam: -HMH- MS NATALIE F870
The first of several /S Mandate sons is this goggle eyed, long bodied January bull. His Dam is a first-time momma that put everything she has into her calf, and it shows. She’s from a prominent female family we have had for years, and is weaning off a calf nearly as tall as she herself is. Low BW, high calving ease, super high growth EPD’s this guy would be a great match for heifers and will be well suited for cows by 2022 also.

AVAILABLE
LH 503C REDFORD 103J
  • Reg#: 44227251
  • DOB: 1/23/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 79
Sire: BEHM 100W CUDA 504C
Dam: LH MS RUBY 503C {DOD}
Redford is a bull that could be a “game changer” for many herds, commercial or registered Hereford alike. DNA tested free of all defects and Homozygous Polled, he is red-to-the-toe, red necked, with two red eyes. Genomically enhanced EPDs show calving ease and BW in top 15% of breed, while his WW, YW, BMI$ and CHB$ are all in top 1% of the breed! His Dam 503C is a Dam of Distinction (DOD) and his Grand-Dam 127Y Sierra is a DOD and one of only two cows we have flushed. Superior genetics throughout his pedigree!

AVAILABLE
LH 943G MOHICAN 104J
  • Reg#: 44227263
  • DOB: 1/18/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 77
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589 ET
Dam: LH MS GIDGET 943G
Our first full crop of Goldrush daughters are raising their calves this year, and we are super impressed with their thickness and growth, not to mention the pigment many have inherited. Mohican is one of those calves, sired by /S Mandate and a super thick, moderate framed Dam. Actual BW of just 77 lbs, low BW and high CEZ EPD’s, he is also in top 10% of breed for WW & YW. Already deep bodied, big butted and big hipped, he is going to look a lot like his Grand-daddy Goldrush 608D!

AVAILABLE
LH 805F ELITE 105J
  • Reg#: 44227259
  • DOB: 2/2/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 88
Sire: KCF BENNETT ENCORE Z311 ET
Dam: LH MS LILAC 805F
A very ‘traditionally’ marked bull is Elite, an A.I. sired calf out of the high growth Encore Z311 bull. He has an impressive profile with a natural thickness and depth which is common to the calves we’ve had from Encore. EPD’s point to super high growth and moderate BW, which we expect this young bull will bring to the pasture he ends up in. Quiet disposition, smooth strided, he should make a positive impact for years to come.

AVAILABLE
LH 902G EMERALD CRUIZER 107J
  • Reg#: 44227261
  • DOB: 1/31/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 62
Sire: BEHM 100W CUDA 504C
Dam: LH MS EMERALD 902G ET
A “Heifer Bull Supreme”, this bull brings together the well-known Behm Cuda A.I. sire, with one of our top female lines, a 2-yr old R.Leader ET daughter of our DOD Donor cow Sierra 127Y. With an actual 62 lb. BW, his genomically enhanced (GE) EPD’s are in the top 5% of breed for calving ease and BW; top 25% for growth! DNA tested free of all defects, he is Homozygous Polled, short marked, with one big red eye and a great disposition. This is a true foundational Herd Sire in the making!

AVAILABLE
LH 719E MAVERICK 109J
  • Reg#: 44227257
  • DOB: 1/24/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 63
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589
Dam: LH MS CARAMEL 719E
Another phenominal “heifer bull” option is Maverick. DNA tested free of defects, his GE EPD’s are double-digits CEZ and negative BW (both top 5% of breed), actual BW of just 63 lbs., and strong marks across the rest of the EPD boards. Full brother to one of our top selling bulls in 2021, his Dam traces back to Revolution 4R, a top-selling Hereford A.I. bull in past. Deep, soggy, thick, dark red and super quiet, Maverick is sure to be a top pick from this crop. He already caught the eye of several pasture visitors this summer. Heterozygous polled.

AVAILABLE
LH E703 MONROE 111J
  • Reg#: 44227267
  • DOB: 1/31/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 68
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589 ET
Dam: -HMH- MS CADENCE E703
If you’re looking for a reliable heifer-bull option, take a close look at this /S Mandate son. Another short-marked bull, he may not have the “bells and whistles” that some others do, but he is as solid as they come with a 68 lb. actual BW and both BW & CEZ numbers in top 5% of the breed. His 2-yr old dam has done a great job with him, putting everything she has into this boy.

AVAILABLE
LH 35A EZ-MONEY 113J ET
  • Reg#: 44227270
  • DOB: 2/10/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 89
Sire: KCF BENNETT ENCORE Z311 ET
Dam: MGM LINE OF TRUST 35A
Our 35A Lady x Encore Z311 flush was a very successful mating, and here is the last opportunity to pick up a bull from that flush. His full brothers were among the earliest picks each of the past 2 years, and this will be the last bull calf from the flush since all embryos have now been used. Moderate BW, chart topping growth EPDs, his full brothers last year were also top of the scales in WW & YW. He’s headed that way as well which would back up his growth EPD’s that are in top 10% of the breed. Homozygous polled by pedigree.

SOLD for 2022
LH 316A MUSKOGEE 116J
  • Reg#: 44227247
  • DOB: 2/5/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 86
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589 ET
Dam: LH MS VERONICA 316A {DOD}
This /S Mandate son is out of one of the most prolific cows in our Herd, 316A Veronica, who many feel is the ‘best uddered cow in the herd’. A DOD herself, she is long bodied and looks much younger than the 8-yr old cow she is. Muskogee is a growing machine, already over 700 lbs. before the end of July, growing at a 4.2 WDA pace! Packed with muscle, deep ribbed and massive hipped, he is a true “cow maker” package! Quiet as they come, he’s broke to lead, and headed with his Dam to show at the Iowa State Fair as a Cow-Calf pair.

AVAILABLE
LH 717E CANYON 117J
  • Reg#: 44227256
  • DOB: 2/13/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 84
Sire: TH FRONTIER 174E
Dam: LH MS SERENA 717E
This dark red, soft ribbed bull is A.I. sired by the popular Frontier 174E bull from Topp Herefords. His EPD’s point towards a heifer bull option with high CEZ and low BW, and his growth EPD’s are in the top 5% of the breed too, predicting explosive growth for his calves. Pigment on one eye, he has a quiet disposition, and his Dam is a grand-daughter of our 127Y Sierra DOD/Donor cow. He will sire strong replacement quality females.

AVAILABLE
LH 049X GRIZZLY 119J
  • Reg#: 44226277
  • DOB: 2/4/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 96
Sire: LH 35A GOLDRUSH 608D
Dam: LH MS MARKETTE 049X
Goldrush calves have a common “look” to them, and Grizzly has just that appearance with red goggle eyes, depth and thickness. Actually that all could have just as likely come from his Dam 049X, who is a large framed massive cow with goggle eyes herself. She has sired top performing bull calves for us year-after-year, and at 11 years of age she has not slowed down yet. Due to his bigger BW, Grizzly is recommended for use on cows, and he will be ready to go to work by summer 2022 breeding season, siring good growing & finishing calves.

AVAILABLE
LH 900G YELLOWSTONE 120J
  • Reg#: 44227260
  • DOB: 2/7/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 80
Sire: TH FRONTIER 174E
Dam: LH MS HOPE 900G
The Frontier 174E sire has produced consistently deep bodied, soft ribbed, thick hipped calves for us, and Yellowstone is just one more fitting that mold. Raised by a super 2-yr old Dam, he is growing extremely well, living up to his WW & YW EPD’s that are in the top 1% of the breed! He continues to look more impressive as time goes on, and we are excited to see how he continues to develop. He could be used on heifers, will be ready for cows too, or a perfect fit for a combination group for breeding in 2022.

AVAILABLE
LH 951G GLACIER 121J
  • Reg#: 44227265
  • DOB: 2/10/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 80
Sire: TH FRONTIER 174E
Dam: LH MS VIENNA 951G
One of the darker calves in the crop is this impressive looking, goggle eyed bull, that is red-to-the-ground. A.I. sired by Frontier 174E, and out of an equally impressive 2-yr old cow that is sired by Goldrush 608E and a Dam of Distinction cow, he has a pedigree stacked with quality, growth, and maternal strength. Low-to-moderate BW, with top 1% of the breed EPD’s for growth (WW & YW), his numbers are seriously strong. We expect him to get snatched up quickly, so don’t wait too long if interested in getting him reserved for 2022.

AVAILABLE
LH 942G MAGNUM 122J
  • Reg#: 44227262
  • DOB: 2/8/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 96
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589
Dam: LH MS GABBY 942G
Our /S Mandate sons are deep in this year’s crop, and those out of Goldrush daughters are eye catchers. Magnum is another one from those matings. Goggle eyed, polled, red-to-the-ground, he has caught the attention of many visitors to our pasture. Super soggy, deep ribbed, big butted, he appears to be an impressive combination of the Goldrush x Mandate “type”. His EPD’s are top 25% of breed for CEZ, BW, WW & YW, but with an actual BW of 96 lbs., we recommend to use on cows and not heifers, out of caution.

AVAILABLE
LH 705E LEGEND 125J
  • Reg#: 44227816
  • DOB: 2/17/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 77
Sire: R LEADER 6964
Dam: LH MS SAPPHIRE 705E
This Leader son is the 3rd full brother in as many years from our top 4-yr old cow. Sapphire 705E is a beautifully uddered Red Bull 200Z x Sierra 127Y daughter. We have used each of the previous two full brothers for one season; shown on our ‘Herd Bull page’ (Laredo 905G and Relentless 005H). Legend is the spitting image of his two brothers at the same age. Here’s the last opportunity to pick up a bull from this successful mating. Double-digit calving ease, top EPD’s, DNA tested free of all defects, Heterozygous Polled.

AVAILABLE
LH 458B FULL MOONIE 128J

  • DOB: 2/25/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 74
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589
Dam: LH MS MOLLY 458B
One more bull A.I. sired by /S Mandate, Full Moonie is another solid low BW bull option. Both CEZ and BW EPD’s are in top 10% of breed, along with a 74 lb. actual BW. So far he appears he will be very moderate framed, and is long necked and smooth shouldered, all pointing toward a good calving ease frame. Not to sacrifice growth, however, his WW & YW EPD’s are still well better than breed average. Perfectly suited for heifers or a combination group of heifers & cows for 2022.

AVAILABLE
LH 590C EXPRESS 129J
  • Reg#: 44226286
  • DOB: 2/18/2021
  • Polled
  • BW: 94
Sire: R EXCITEMENT 4356
Dam: LH MS ALEXA 590C
Quite likely the “darkest red” bull in this year’s crop is Express, A.I. sired by the R Excitement bull. Express has one small red eye and one huge red eye. Long bodied and thick, his WW & YW EPD’s are in the top 1% of the breed – the highest of our entire calf crop this year. His Dam has super high udder scores, with teat sizes the smallest of our entire cow herd. Not recommended for heifers due to his BW, he will be an excellent choice for mature cows when looking to sire calves with dynamic growth, and replacement quality females.

This bull is a limited edition, the only bull calf we are offering from an impressive Encore Z311 son we used as a yearling in 2020. Encore bloodlines are known for thickness, deep bodies and super high growth. His Dam is a Churchill Red Bull 200Z daughter that is one of the smallest cows in our herd, but she consistently weans off big calves every year, putting all she has into them. Sire: LH 35A GOLDRUSH 608D
Dam: LH MS IRIS 835U
Another big bodied, super thick, goggle-eyed Goldrush son is Bandit 145J. Even though he is one of the youngest calves in the crop, it is hard to tell that when looking through the pasture. He is maturing and growing right on the pace of others that are weeks older. He does have one of the biggest actual BW’s in the crop, 96 lb. actual BW (on the scale), but he was born 10 days late so we take that into consideration when deciding whether to market as a bull or not. Recommended for cows only.

The youngest bull in the Spring crop is this natural calf out of our Donor Cow 35A Lady. That makes this guy a maternal ½ brother to our herd sire Goldrush 608D, an enticing fact in itself. Sired by our Built Tuff son 808F, he has high CEZ and low BW EPD’s, along with a 78 lb. actual BW. Homozygous Polled by pedigree, here is an opportunity to tap into the sought after 35A/Goldrush bloodlines. Great option for heifers in 2022.

You can see he is super long bodied, with the big rib, big hip, and smooth muscle to pull it all together. Many of our customers prefer Polled bulls, but if you are looking for a Horned bull, or open to considering one, this just may be one of the thickest, heaviest bodied bulls in the offering. A.I. sire by the Heterozygous polled /S Mandate, but out of a de-horned cow, the horned genes won out and Ed will be de-horned around weaning time. He has a massive rump, deep hip, deep flank and soft rib, he will sure put the pounds on his calves!

If you are looking for a bull to use on females previously purchased from our herd, and need an option from an alternative bloodline, take a strong look at this high quality bull. Sired by our Built Tuff son 808F, Louie is thick, moderate framed, with a great profile. His Dam is a “smaller than average cow” compared to most of our herd, but her calves are as big as any at weaning time each year. She is a very efficient producer, the type you want to replicate when you can.

He has a very eye catching pattern with four white ‘socks’, white on his brisket, bellow and neck. Natural depth of body and thickness, he comes from a moderate framed young Dam that was a Reserve Division Champion as a calf at the American Royal. He has the profile and genetic background to sire awesome calves, bulls/steers and replacement heifers.

Every time I see this bull in the pasture, the first description that comes to mind is “big boned”. He is naturally stout, thick, big butted, deep ribbed and flanked, big footed and walks wide on his big-boned legs. A.I. sired by the ever popular Catapult 109, he has the look of a young herd bull. His moderate, super thick dam traces back to a super strong cow family, so you could retain any replacement females with utmost confidence.

This Built Tuff grand-son is an excellent bull from a strong bloodline that we haven’t had many to offer in the past. Add in that Moe’s Dam is the only Goldrush daughter in her 2nd year of production and you have a limited commodity! Low BW, he could be a heifer bull option in 2022, but he should also be ready for cows or a combination group. He is a versatile option!

The last of this year’s Goldrush sons in Buster, another one that fits the traditional Goldrush body style. Big behind, deep soft rib, thick, with eye pigment, Buster shows above average growth EPD’s. Buster’s Dam was purchased as a bred heifer, so she is an outcross on the female side of the pedigree. With a larger BW we would recommend Buster as a cow bull option. Will be ready to go for 2022 breeding - can be reserved now.

Females for Sale

Lenth Herefords offers a variety of females for sale throughout the year. Below, you will find details on the Show and Replacement Heifers, Bred Heifers, and any Bred Hereford Cows currently “For Sale”. These are available through Private Treaty Sale from our Postville, Iowa location. More animals become available with each season and at various times depending on inventory levels. We offer Registered Herefords that can be used as a foundation or to build upon a registered herd, prospects for 4-H and shows that move on to be herd-building females, as well as females that could be crossed with angus or other bulls in a strong commercial based herd. Our females come from a strong female-building herd that includes a number of Dams of Distinction (DOD), the highest recognition for a Hereford cow from the American Hereford Association. Besides several active DOD’s, we have many more daughters and grand-daughters of DOD’s in the herd. We also occasionally offer females from strong cooperator herds, most of which trace back to Lenth bloodlines, in order to offer an even bigger selection.

Each year the demand for Lenth Hereford females has been very strong. Many repeat customers shop very early, even putting in ‘orders’ for females in specific bloodlines. We offer an "early reservation” option, to allow anyone to select early, if desired. We also offer a 3-tier pricing scale: 1) Priced for possession soon after weaning; 2) Priced for possession after weaning but before breeding; 3) Priced as a Bred Heifer with us holding, developing, and breeding (according to purchaser’s requests) for calving the following season, after passing a preg check. Give us a call, or come by to look at what we have to offer. Call Marilyn at 319-269-3146 with any questions, for specific pricing, or to discuss what you are looking for.

2020 Spring Heifers

SOLD
RH ALEXIS 901R
  • Reg#: 44131678
  • DOB: 8/25/2019
  • POlled
  • BW: 70
Sire: SHF ACCESS Y90 A216
Dam: LH MS HALEY 1718
This fall born heifer is A.I. sired by the low BW Access bull, and her dam is a sweet, moderate framed, beautiful uddered Cracker Jack grand-daughter that we raised. Alexis was a little smaller than our other fall heifers back in November, so we decided to hold her over for spring calving to allow her to grow a little more. She’s now one of the biggest in the group and ready to be bred for the timeframe of a new owner-to-be. Pigmented, deep bodied, she will make a really nice brood cow for someone.

  • BW: 70
Sire: /S MANDATE 66589
Dam: LH MS VICTORIA 202Z
A new A.I. sire we used this past year was /S Mandate, an up-and-coming Leader son. I was looking to produce a deep-bodied, calving ease, top production female, and definitely hit the ‘bulls-eye’ with Magnolia! She is very attractive and comes from a solid, productive, good uddered cow family. She did inherit a horned gene even though both parents are polled – she will be dehorned at weaning time. Magnolia has caught the attention of many who have visited our pastures this summer.

  • BW: 77
Sire: BF MR ON ARGET REVOLUTION 20BB
Dam: BAR JZ GLORY 593Z
When talking about “deep bodied” cows, the mother of this heifer is the picture of that – in fact some folks wonder how it doesn’t hit the ground! MS April is one of the youngest heifers, but definitely NOTthe smallest. She’s also developing into a deep, thick, long bodied female – literally looking better every day. She could be a very good show heifer prospect, and will certainly make a front pasture brood cow. If not chosen early on, I may just change my mind and keep her myself!

Feature Heifer – This NEW addition to our Heifer offering was being held as a Replacement for the Rose family, until they decided their inventory is a little too high for their space, and they will offer to share her. Sired by our KT Built Tuff son 808F, she has outstanding Calving Ease, BW, and Udder quality EPD’s. Her Dam is a Churchill Sensation 028X daughter, so she has a royal pedigree. If building a foundation herd, she could be the building block you’re looking for!

MS Bobbie is the first of an elite group of heifers from one of our volume customers that we are happy to share for him. Bobbie’s Dam was purchased from us as a bred heifer, and her sire Hotshot was purchased from us as a 2-yr old. MS Bobbie is deep, dark red with very little white. She is very feminine and will be moderate framed like each of her parents. She has super high calving ease and low birth weight EPD’s, but still has above average MM and MG numbers – a solid, versatile female to build on. Owned by Harting Farms.

Sire: JDH Z311 INSIGHT 30D ET
Dam: RH DASHA 1526
This deep, long bodied heifer was our choice from the Reynolds Sale in Missouri this year, to add to our heifer group being offered. She is sired by a son of the well-known Encore Z311, and her dam is a solid cow from the heart of the Reynolds herd. We are retaining a maternal sister in our herd from last year’s sale – we believe in this cow family. She could be shown, she is sure to make a solid replacement female and brood cow.

Sire: FRONTIER 174E
Dam: LH MS LILAC 805E
We A.I.’d some cows to Frontier 174E for the first time last year and have been very impressed with the calves born this winter/spring. MS Lavendar is one of those heifers that is deep bodied, thick, clean fronted, bold and very traditionally marked. Her Dam is a Revolution 4R grand-daughter, so her pedigree is strong. We are keeping a couple of the Frontier heifers as replacements and are very proud to share this impressive heifer.

A beautiful traditionally marked, medium framed heifer is this dark red heifer, Ritzy. Her Dam is an own daughter of the well-respected AH JDH Cracker Jack 26U, and Ritzy is A.I. sired by RN York – a top notch mating for sure. Moderate BW, super high growth, and elite udder quality – all traits that have set her up to be a beautiful, high performing, reliable cow.

Another heifer out of our herd bull Goldrush, MS Cambrie is a wonderful combination of depth and thickness, straight lines, attractive pigment, and a beautifully feminine look. If you’re looking for a strong female background, you will want to look at this one. Her Dam has a near perfect udder, and we have kept almost every female in the family so far – the only reason we are ready to share this gorgeous gal.

Sire: KT SMALL TOWN KID 5051
Dam: LH MS RICHMOND 507C
Last year I saw some beautiful heifers sired by Small Town Kid, and decided to try to raise some of our own. MS Savannah is just that. She’s dark with one red eye, moderate sized, and if she turns out anything like her mother (which I expect her to), she will make a wonderful cow. This is a special brood cow prospect.

Sire: LH 35A GOLDRUSH 608D
Dam: LH MS LACY 600D
If I had a ‘cover girl’ out of the heifer group, it would probably be MS Gabriella. She is very eye catching with two red eyes, small head, clean front and a beautiful profile, she’s flat out gorgeous. Her Dam is a Cracker Jack grand-daughter who is dark red and a great mother. She’s another solid daughter out of Goldrush 608D, and we are loving what his calves look like AND how they perform. I would love to keep her, but I kept her full sister from last year, so this one can be shared with others.

  • Reg#: 44121435
  • DOB: 3/26/2020
  • Horned
  • BW: 74
Sire: KF WAR HEAD 317E
Dam: KT SONGBIRD 128F
MS Robin is a totally different bloodline from our herd, since her mother was purchased as a bred heifer, my pick from the Wildcat Cattle Company sale in Wisconsin last fall. If you’re a repeat customer looking for an outcross, here is a great option. Robin’s mom is a moderate framed cow with a near perfect udder and freckled face. Robin is also medium framed, dark red and well pigmented. She has a very feminine build, and is really shaping up beautifully. She will make someone a wonderful herd addition!

  • BW: 74
Sire: LH 35A GOLDRUSH 608D
Dam: LH MS PEANUT 329A
This little gal has been a ‘crowd favorite’ since she was just a few days old! Another Goldrush daughter, she is very feminine, traditionally marked with a fair amount of white, and medium-to-dark red on the balance of her body. Her Dam is a Victor 31X daughter who is deep bodied, good uddered, and a fabulous disposition who will let anyone walk up and pet her. Praline will make a wonderful cow and produce good, solid calves.

  • BW: 77
Sire: LH 35A GOLDRUSH 608D
Dam: LH MS VIOLET 374A
The youngest of our heifers is a beautiful girl that is also looking better and better as she develops. She has the traditional markings with a fair amount of white, beautiful head and front, and getting deeper and thicker in her rear quarter as she grows. You can see her Dam’s bold rib and thickness. MS Indigo could be a twin sister to MS Praline (049H) – they are “2 peas in a pod” – but after all they are ½ sisters, both out of Goldrush.

Sire: LH 508C TUFFER STUFF 808F
Dam: SL MISS DOM 1820
This pretty fronted little gal is as sweet as she looks. Her dam is a medium framed, 1st calf momma that is putting everything into her baby – and it shows. Aubree is sired by our Herd Bull Tuffer Stuff 808F and we are really liking his first crop of calves, including this lovely lady. Very correct, very feminine, great feet and legs, mom has a very good udder – all traits that will set her up to be a productive and long lasting cow.

If you’re looking for a female to produce high growth calves, don’t overlook this gal. Her Dam is a larger framed Cracker Jack grand-daughter, and her daddy is our super thick Goldrush 608D. I can see both of her parents coming through. She’s long bodied, getting thicker and thicker, big boned, with two red eyes. Her WW, YW, and MG EPD’s are in the top 10% of the breed, showing the super growth she brings to the pasture.

Dam: LH MS MOLLY 458B
There’s just “something” about this heifer that makes me keep thinking “I should be keeping her”. She is very eye catching, being dark red with one big red eye, and she keeps looking longer and thicker every time I see her. She has a strong, straight top, and her rib is softening and getting a little deeper as she starts to mature. Her backside is thick, but she’s still very clean up front with a pretty head. If someone else doesn’t snatch her up early on, she just may shift to my “Keep” list.

This big, powerful heifer is even more impressive in person than she looks like in her picture. Long bodied, thick, big boned, she is the type that could produce big gaining feeders and market cattle. Her dam was purchased as a bred heifer from us, and she has done a wonderful job with this heifer. She is another solid cow prospect with strong calving ease and BW EPD’s. Owned by Harting Farms.

The last heifer in the offering is just as good as any. She comes from a super-strong female line in the Lenth herd including grand-dam 202Z, her sister 316A [DOD] and great-grand-dam 042X [DOD] – all foundation females still in the herd. She has some of the best udder quality and growth EPD numbers in the offering. Super sweet and feminine, red-to-the-toe with two small red eyes – she could be the ‘sleeper’ of the entire group. Take a close look! Owned by Harting Farms.
